DOLORES
NEUMANN
ARTIST'S STATEMENT
"It's
watercolor, collage, acrylics, shapes, interlocking colors, the challenge
goes on----The gift and joy of painting never ends".
ABOUT
THE ARTIST
Dolores
has been drawing since she was a little girl and lucky to have parents
who encouraged her God-given talent. From Grade school on, Dolores
has been studying and refining her talents. Upon graduation from
high school, her portfolio was complete and she began working for a
buying office that provided out-of-state department stores with
illustrations for newspaper ads.
After
raising a family of seven wonderful children, the Neumanns moved to
Phoenix in 1986. Dolores studied at the Shemer Art Center with Ann
Mc Eachron. She met Ruth Palmisano, her art teacher and joined the
Phoenix Artists Guild. In 1997, the Paradise Valley Artists
League, with the help of Ruth Palmisano, was founded. Dolores
served as President for two years. In 1999 Dolores became a member
of Critique Encounters XII. This small cohesive group has studied
with well-known artists such as Betsy Dillard Stroud, Virginia Cob and
Ruth Palmisano.
Dolores'
work is on exhibit at the Critique Encounters Gallery in Prescott.
She has also won awards for her work in exhibits organized by the Peoria
Arts Commission, and is a juried member of
Arizona Art Alliance.
